Jonsyn Drone Survey Service
The use of drones to survey green and brown field sites, construction sites and civil engineering projects is growing, as they are a safe and cost-efficient way of capturing incredibly accurate data and producing numerous outputs and formats via appropriate software.
Small Unmanned Surveillance Aircraft or SUSAs allow construction and engineering businesses to make better informed decisions regarding site planning, structural conditions, surrounding environments and much more. This translates to providing our Clients with a higher technical standard service.
Industries and Sectors
Residential, commercial and retail construction
Commercial and residential estate agents and managing agents
This list is not exhaustive. If your industry or sector isn’t on this list, and you would like to know more about our drone surveying services, please get in touch. We would be delighted to discuss your needs further.
What are the benefits of drone surveys?
In our industry, safety is always paramount. Using a drone makes on-site surveying far safer, as low as reasonably practicable, even in spaces with restricted height access. Areas that were once inaccessible or hazardous to reach are now fully accessible. Drone surveys make the once impossible, possible.
Accuracy ranges from local relative accuracy to high-level global accuracy – your project goals will dictate the level you need. Using 4k imaging technology, the data collected by aerial surveys is extremely accurate. Drones can capture the same, or sometimes better, quality data than traditional surveying techniques.
Compared with traditional surveys where time-consuming planning and meticulous preparation is involved, drone surveys can be deployed quickly and will provide the data you need in a far shorter timeframe. Construction progress monitoring can pick up discrepancies between plans and the build in progress. This can help mitigate construction errors, and early detection of any issues can dramatically reduce re-work and lessen potential delays further down the line.
While conducting a SUSA survey, there is no need to shut your site down. With permission from the Remote Pilot you can continue to run your project as long as persons, vehicles, vessels and structures are under the control of the Remote Pilot, keeping your site open, maintaining your productivity and, in the long term, ensuring better profitability

General aerial surveys can be provided by non-surveyors, but you still need to employ a qualified RICS surveyor to analyse and report on the data captured. Drone surveying in civil engineering is a specialist field that requires a wealth of industry knowledge and expertise.
By choosing Jonsyn drone services, you get exactly that. With 37 years’ experience in civil and structural engineering, project management and contract administration, we know precisely what to look for and where potential issues may lie. We can also provide that critical information via live feeds to enable you to make real-time decisions on your project.
For our SUSA surveys, we employ the latest 4k photogrammetry and videogrammetry technology, giving high definition photos and video. We fly DJI drones and select the appropriate drone for each flight. We use Pix4D software to create our 2D and 3D outputs and use Adobe Premier Pro software to produce photographs and videos.
Our Operator has CAA PfCO certification and all Remote Pilots have achieved Certificate of Competence in Remote Pilot Theoretical Knowledge/General Airmanship Syllabus and Flight Assessment Certificate. Each project is fully planned by us, in consultation with our clients, and all necessary notices, permissions and requirements are managed on the client’s behalf.
We can provide drone surveys across the the United Kingdom. We will also consider carrying out drone surveys in other countries once an assessment has been carried out on the restrictions and requirements of the specific country.
Our new drone survey service is provided by us directly in-house. With no external third parties involved, we can ensure our clients receive the same high-quality service and outputs that we already deliver across the other aspects of our business.
To get the highest quality results, quickly, safely and economically, choose Jonsyn drone survey services. Contact us to find out more about how we can assist you with your project.
